It's way too much spam and first-time posters. First-time posters are terrible because they usually don't come back.

How does a Usenet group become moderated? Anyone know?

lol! I usually check out recp once every few weeks just for the spam! Most forums I check delete the spam shortly after, so if there's some bonus I miss, I know where to look
