Ok, Recpoker has hit rock bottom

So I get bored, so I browse Recpoker a bit today to find this gem of a thread:

Weird fact about 78 suited

Omg can you guys believe 78 suited is the best hand against AA????

Bunch of responses along the lines of "WOW really?", then a few "Yeah, I knew that, but why is that?", and then one guy "I guess you guys really believe making a straight is easier than making a lower set?"

ERP!?!?!? Come on this is basic stuff, seriously.

It needs to be moderated.

It's way too much spam and first-time posters. First-time posters are terrible because they usually don't come back.

How does a Usenet group become moderated? Anyone know?

lol! I usually check out recp once every few weeks just for the spam! Most forums I check delete the spam shortly after, so if there's some bonus I miss, I know where to look :).

Cheers,

Gutzz

At least this was about poker...

I have seen a big difference in the last few weeks. I can only imagine how good of a group it used to be cause it is $hit now. Meanwhile thise forum keeps getting more discussion every week. Hopefully it keeps building.

man, that post was significantly better than most stuff that has populated rgp or recpoker for a while now. like tp said, it was at least about poker, and it didnt even involve a bad beat or anything like that. that i sliterary gold compared to most of the junk over there these days.

drewjax 12-06-04 04:15 PM

Why do you think that some of the big name pros continue to check it out and even post there?

Penguinfan 12-06-04 04:51 PM

Because it's all they know about and it gets tons of traffic.
