Default HMMMM, you think this is fake???

Oh joy! Just got an e-mail from Neteller! Luckily, I just use it to transfer money and that's it. NO balance on it right now.

This has to be a scam to get my information though, doesn't it?

Terrorists! LMAO. They needed a fucking doughnut and a coffee or what? Drug dealers? I already give freely to them. Anyway, read away and let me know what you think. Gotta get on the phone and make sure everything's cool.

Seems fake.

Just logged in to my account and their "help" is support@neteller not help@neteller.

Hopefully, no one ever falls for these bullshit emails. I got one similarly from Ebay a couple weeks ago that was confirmed as a scam.

99% a scam....

look at the link address, the number before neteller is the key.

Forward to Neteller and email them through their REAL website (or the phone number on their website) to confirm that your account is ok. Paypal seems to take this stuff pretty seriously. I would guess as Neteller becomes more prominent as poker grows, this tye of scam will show up for their account holders as well.

Yeah, just forwarded it.

It's a scam. I followed the link to the "confirmation" page they sent me. When I got their, half of the links didn't work on the bottom of the page (i.e. legal terms, security, help, etc.)

I then went to the actual Neteller site and those links worked perfectly fine.

I hope I can reply to the fake e-mail. I'm gonna send them some gay grandpa movies or maybe some Christian propaganda. Haven't decided yet.

If you logged in to your neteller account then it is a scam, because it says your account is blocked.

I'm not sure I would EVER respond to spam. While it might make you feel better, it confirms they have a real address who has looked at their email. You will become a preferred spamee

I get these scam SPAMs every day. Mostly ebay and PayPal, but also places I don't even have accounts like Washington Mutual.

I would never fall for it (hopefully), but I admit, they look real - everything except for one or two links that either go to some IP address (see above) or or something like that so it even looks real. I have to think this is a VERY successful way of getting people's personal information and then using that to get into their account and causing havoc.

Of course it is fake. It's not even a good fake. If it was from Netteller, it would say Neteller.com not . Always either delete these emails or forward them to the FBI. In addtion if you have concerns that your account might be frozen, just go to , login as usual, and you would expect to be told. Duh!

Always be suspicious of a link that starts with numbers. The one response reminds me of the time I got two of the 'Nigerian bank account' scam mails in quick order, and forwarded each to the other one.

I thought from the tone of my post, you could tell I was 99.9% sure it was a fake. Sorry if you didn't pick up on that. I still wanna follow up and make 100% sure though. Double Duh.
