I've heard folks say rebuy right away, makes sense to me.
Now, at a Casino, how exactly do you go about rebuying right away? Do you do it when you buy into the tourney ? Do you have to lose money before you can rebuy to get extra chips ? Do you pull the tourney director over to your table ? Thx

just yell out rebuy and someone will be by to get you your rebuy.
Also I rebuy right away because if you double up to 1500 to 3000 you wont be able to use your rebuy and you will be missing 1500 in chips. if you rebuy right away you will start off with 3000 right off the bat. |

What about a tournment in which you get One rebuy or one add-on. I've played these you can either rebuy any time you're under starting chips or you can wait until add-on period to use it. What would you do in this case?

add on is normally 500-1000 chips more than a rebuy.
If an either/or situation, id stick at my starting chips, play a bit looser than normal, if i bust i can rebuy, if im safe b4 first break, ill addon, cant lose either way then |

Well, sure... but what about one of those tourneys where you only get ONE rebuy and ONE add on? Do you still take it right away?

I don't care if it's a tournament allowing:
one rebuy OR one add-on, or one rebuy AND one add-on, I'll still take the chips right at the beginning. A few reasons make sense to me: (1) I am more deep stacked than Johnny, who didn't rebuy. (2) There are more bad players at the beginning of the tournament, and with more chips, I can afford to play with them. (3) I am really looking for a spot where I can double up against someone else who also took the rebuy. If I'm lucky enough to have that happen, I now have close to 4x the original starting stack. (4) Generally, I'm not looking to survive the first hour and then take the rebuy. That is silly, and not aggressive enough (of a mindset) to win the tournament., IMO. That's all right now.
