Actually, the mover just called and said he should be here tomorrow afternoon. He sounded like he was on a cell phone made of tin cans and yarn in Russia.
He also informed me that if (more like fucking when) they can't get the 18-wheeler in here, I've got to go rent a UHaul and pay them hourly to transfer it first. Joy Joy Rapture!

That sucks man. Is this move sponsored by the new school or are these some schmucks that you found?
If they are school sponsored - I'd cry a river to the HR dept/whomever will listen about how fucked up shitty their contracted movers are. You know what they say about squeeky wheels. If you found them - stop being so damn cheap and get some movers with class. Actually - glad to hear you are least expecting your shit sometime soon.

Unfortunately, these are my movers. But honestly, they're going by the book. I do get a little "signing bonus" that is supposed to help w/ relocation costs.
If this were 20 years ago, I'm sure it would.
