I heard that the earlier $1000 buy-in tourneys were actually starting with 1500 chips. Is this not the case with these events?

I heard that too... and I've seen sheets that say 1000 and others that say 1500. Most people (staff) seem to agree that it will be 1000 though. I'll know soon enough.

Just checked my mail and got a few surprise (as in I wasn't expecting them) updates from Mark from today's tourney. Look for more regular updates now that I know he's sending them

#1: 11:23PDT 3900 chips
#2: 11:27PDT 4400! (not to be confused with the hit USA network show

)
#3: 11:38PDT 4950!

Just informed that they started with 1500 and TP is now sitting at 6400! This is only 1:05 minutes into it. It seems like Mark's having and nice early start to this one!
