Expect to wait 24 years before UB answers an e-mail.

Yeah, I'm not worried about it now. Whether my email caught someone's attention or one of their flunkies spotted the SNAFU, it was fixed "fairly" quickly. Still, at least 8 people got knocked out of the tourney from our table in those first few hands.

If you ever have a legit problem that needs to be solved at UB:
Go to pocketfives and talk to one of the UB player reps, they'll help you.

So here's a follow-up. I ended up finishing 46th in the tourney. Top 200 move on to the monthly qualifier on July 9th.
As for my email, I went to bed immediately after it ended. When I got up this morning there were 3 emails from UB. One stated that the tourney was cancelled because of an error and would be rescheduled. Another email stated that they would forward my email to the appropriate people. The third email was acknowledgement of the receipt of my second email rescinding my request for a point credit. All of these emails were sent by 3:10am at the latest. So everything worked out great for me. I just hope that UB, at the very least, credits the accounts of those knocked out in the first few hands from our table. Lemme tell ya though - nothing like 400/800/100 blinds right off the bat with 1500 stack to encourage All-in or Fold mode! ![]() |
