So set up a fake hotmail account, install AIM, have the draft, and then uninstall it if you hate it so much. As for the "clunky" interface... IT couldn't get much simpler, could it?

The chat room thing is still an option (I haven't had a chance to look into this yeat), but I personally think AIM would be just as easy.

I actually did just end up downloading the beta version of AIM Pro. I haven't installed it yet, but it comes highly recommended from one of the more respected members of the internet community, Chris Pirillo (aka LockerGnome).

The funny part about all of this is that I'm probably not even going to take part in this draft, I'm just trying to help facilitate an ease of organization.
