In games like basketball there is a line, for example Dallas is a 4.5 pt favorite over Miami, so Dallas has to win by 5 points or more if you bet on them. If they win by 3 you lose.
In baseball there are no lines. (well there are 1.5 run lines...but those generally arent used) Since one team is better than the other team and all they have to do is win (by any amount) you have to risk more money on a favorite. For example if the Tigers were to play the Royals at home. You couldn't just risk $100 to win $100 on the Tigers -- or everyone would take the bet, since the Tigers are one of the best teams in MLB right now and the Royals are one of the worst. Thats why they'll set up the line like -200 for example. Meaning you need to risk 200 to win 100 If you take the royals you'd get + money. In the Dodger game they are getting +135, meaning for every 100 you risk you win 135 because the Mets are favorite

I personally like betting on MMA fights because the lines are way off. Like Matt Hughes was only a 2:1 favorite over Royce Gracie. Yeah, that wasn't close.

Despite not making any money last night (didn't lose any either I guess) I will post some plays from time to time, if people want to check em out that's great, if not that's fine as well.
Nice thing is I won't have to check the sports page for results, I can just see how much my rep points fall and I'll know how much was lost.
