Damnit I was watching that stupid American Inventor show and missed the freakin' game. I would nornally talk shit now about how lucky you guys are that I missed the game and the royal ass-whoopin' that you saved yourselves from, but we all know I'd be full of shit. So good luck fags. No neg rep please - I mean fag in a non-gay sorta' way.

I'll be taking that lead, thank you very much.

And yes, bunny should have (And still should) pay the league entry fee. The same goes for Aeq.

Remember, there are 15 tourneys left and only your 10 best scores count. With the added money (and only needing to finish in the top 10 to get into the T.O.C.), it's never too late to join. 2 people joined today, in fact.

Default Deal or No Deal

You know my situation already and the reason I didn't join the league in the first place.

I would only be able to play till the end of this month. (4 tourneys at most)

Here's the deal I'm proposing. If I pay you $15 instead of the original league fee of $10, would I be able to receive my points for my 2 wins?

Please discuss this with all the league members before you make your decision. Thankyou.

No, sorry.... We can't just change the rules like that. I mean, how much should we charge Aeq to convert his points over from his win? And his win was an actual WIN - not just finishing in the points...

Feel free to set up a poll in a new thread if you want, but I know how I'm voting and it would take a damn near unanimous decision to change my mind... and I know that's not gonna happen.

You are still welcome to pay $10 and join the league like everyone else, with your points counting from this point forward.

What do you mean by "an ACTUAL win?" Wasn't mine a win too? I didn't get 1st, but I won 2nd & 3rd place.

As for joining the league, I'll pass. Won't be able to play more than 4 games at most. No poll needed. Sorry for even mentioning it.

No problem.

As for the win thing, I've never heard anyone - ever - say they won something when they finished second or worse. Especially in poker - 1 players wins a tournament.

For example: Joe Hachem won the 2005 WSOP. The other 560 players who cashed did not. I finished 41st in Aruba and 6th at a WSOP event last year. Both were nice cashes for me, but I would never, EVER claim that I won either of those tournaments... because I didn't!

I don't have the greatest grasp on the day it is, or even what month. I thought it was *this* weekend we were moving the Saturday league event to Sunday.

Too bad, I was looking forward to it.

No maam... that was for the final event - you know, the ones with the dates very clearly spelled out in this thread:

You had better plan on maknig the remaining events, missy... you're definitely in danger of bubbling the TOC, and there are some hungry cats (and some stray cats too) not far behind you.

I love how I can completely suck and still be in the TOC list, with only two games to go.

I predict that tonight Robbie will finish 2nd and knock me out of 9th spot.

Here's my prediction - you and I will finish 1/2 (with me being on top naturally ) and knock meanness to 10th!

"For the record" (for Lou), when we were HU, I had him all in with AQs vs his K9o preflop. Naturally he doubled up there and finished me off not many hands later.

He would have scored enough points with the second place finish to still qualify for the TOC, but it would have been a lot closer race for people going into the final match next week.

It should still be interesting - A number of people are within striking distance.
