I'd say "Welcome to the forum!" but seeing as how you've been here for A YEAR AND A HALF (without making a single post), that seems a little silly. Wow.... You joined this site on the 3rd full day that it was "live" - that's before nearly all of today's regulars. Crazy.
Anyway, now that you've popped your cherry, I hope to hear from you a lot more. As for your two questions: 1. Books - Do a search of the forum for detailed recommendations, but for low limit hold em, Small Stakes Hold'Em (Miller/Sklansky) is hands down the best. Lee Jone's Winning Low Limit Hold'Em is good too. 2. You are allowed to have an animated avatar.... once you get to 1000 posts. So, let's see... at your current pace, that should be approximately... carry the one.... yeah, right around the year 3504. Give or take.

Okay, I'll let this slide considering you're drunk. If you don't want TP to see it, we can always delete our posts. But since you were the first ever to have one, I don't think he should take it away from you. I don't care to have an animated avatar anyway.

I thought I had it set for 1000, but maybe not. Sure enough, if you have less than 1000 posts, this is set to "No":
-Can Upload Animated Avatar The only thing I can think is that jimmy did it before I fine tuned that rule. Thanks for pointing it out though, bunny. It's definitely not fair to everyone else that jimmy would get special treatment, so I'll delete it immediately. |

Yup, I remember someone, from another forum, posting about this "great new poker forum giving away money for posting!". What was it? 50 posts? Guess I was a little slow in starting  . I guess I'll have to step it up if I want my favourite animated avatar... this post will be a step in that direction :P. Thanks for the book recommendations, I'll check em out. ~Chris |
