eejit made me do it after the one dork (see 22 above) reloaded for $110ish, which I assume was his entire roll.

How much does that affect cash games as the limits go up?

Personally, I only have $400 in my roll. I play less than $20 SNGs, and if I play a cash game...it's .10/.25. I don't see cash nearly that big at tables.

Is there any mental edge if you go in to a table and are instantly big stack?

I know it is strongly advocated that you always buy in for the max any time.

But, is there any noticeable advantage if you've been sitting at a table and winning all day and you have a bunch over the max and are just hanging around?

Of course, I could be making all of this up and just being a pansy because as the limits increase everybody has a ton of money...

Yeah, when TP was at $10, we were capping everything with anything, trying to get some tourists to play. When he stuck an extra $500 on there, i thought "shit, i cant play my usual game, ill go bust"

If someone has a million more chips than you, and as u cant reload during a hand, its definatly psychological.

I don't think it makes THAT much of a difference in a limit game. If anything, I think it got me more action (see hands above), because people assumed I was a higher limit player and just there screwing around. Cap it through the river with 72 once or twice, and it has pretty much the same effect. Funny thing is, while I played looser than optimal strategy last night (the whole table was really loose), I was by no means playing like a lunatic.

I had a nice swing, from down $12 to up $12. It was a table full of fish, including me, the limit hater/virgin.

The chat was a moment of a lifetime for me, i fell of my chair at least twice

EDIT - who like my new location ( top right ) , sorry
