As for your hand.... I'm not sure that's really one to be proud of. You basically played weak and passive from beginning to end, and while you ended up folding the second best hand, you very easily could have been folding the winner or let your opponent catch up when you should have taken the pot down earlier. That's my take on it anyway.
The best hand I ever played.... good question. I'd have to think about it some more. One that immediately comes to mind was from the 2004 WSOP (one of the Add On events) where I actually let go a set of 6s to a relatively not dangerous board (no straight, no flush) because I was 100% certain my opponent was holding a set of Aces. When I threw the cards away - face up - the table gasped. One guy actually said it was the worst fold he had ever seen. Of course, he changed his mind when my opponent showed him his AA. Edit: I have the details of this hand written down somewhere. Maybe I'll see if I can find them... |

This hand was actually played by my friend, but I still thought it was pretty cool
Game is 15/30 limit holdem (my friend told me the BB in question has made a couple of moves on the river in this session) Folds to my friend on the button, he raises with 4s5s SB 3-bets, BB calls, my friend calls Flop is 2s-6h-7h SB bets, BB calls, my friend raises, SB 3-bets and BB caps. Turn is 9s SB bets, BB calls, my friend calls River is 10d SB bets, BB raises, my friend 3-bets (!!), SB folds, BB folds. My friend scoops an obscene pot, shows 5-high and all hell breaks loose in chat. SB had AA and BB had KhQh. Just sick. |

That is a crazy hand. The funny thing is, you can't really fault anyone for how they played it. Your friend's three bet on the end was pretty crazy (I would have folded there), but it worked.
Cool hand. |
