This sucks for sure, but you have to put it in perspective. Though this is the extreme end of the spectrum for shit-ass hands, it happens. The way we make our money in poker is to have a slightly better hand than the other guy. You just ended up on the dumb-end this time.
You need to let it totally go before you continue to play in these situations. I know you know this, but sometimes tilt can be a fickle bitch. She’ll sneak up on you and before you know it, you’re down 4 or 5 times the amount you lost on the original suck-ass hand that put you on tilt in the first place. AA vs KK is 3 to 1 - you need to remember that 1 out of 4 times those K’s are going to suck-out on you. Those are the facts. Poker’s not about the 1 hand and its about odds over time. And if you remember to think about it in these terms you’ll be less likely to let tilt sway your game. Lady Luck’s not against you, so take tomorrow off and come back the next day and give her you’re a-game. ___________ Necessity may be the mother of invention, but convenience is the whore. |
