6th place in the 2005 WSOP paid well over $1 million. And I don't remember that name from the tv coverage. You must mean one of the smaller events = not the main event anyway.

Edit: Ted Lawson is a former gold bracelet winner though - 2004. So that's a reasonable guess.

Yes it was a smaller event, but still an honor none the less.

I'm just saying I think his $500,000 bracelet win was a little more noteworthy and probably got him a little more recognition.

Same thing happened at one of my tournies $11 rebuy tournies a few months ago...
Raymer, Money800, even LeeJones all came to wish some random dude GL.?

I was like why are they all on at once - all wishing the same sucky guy GL?

Then ppl at the table realized there was a few spaces before the name
It was
: money800, instead of
:money800.

So it was none of the real ppl and I bet thats the case with u too.
It became pretty obvious at my table when the fake Money800 and Fossilman started cussing one another out lol - and challeng each other to a $50,000 HU match.

I saw a (space)fossilman the other day. Same deal. Good theory. Just kids messing around. I can't believe Stars would let people have those usernames.

I've seen a fake moeny800 before, poped up in one of my tournies. I think he was trying to make his friend look like a pro so everyone else would be scared of him. Thats what it seemed like anyway. I've gotta agree with TalkingPoker when he says "I can't believe Stars would let people have those usernames."
