My dad's a huge fan, and I ended up going to a race in Delaware at Dover Downs. The experience was pretty fun, but as bad as this sounds, the only exciting parts are the crashes...

i didnt think that nascar was particularly interesting until a few years ago. i find it amusing on tv, but i cant ever see the interest in going to an event, other than the massive tailgating.
