Ultimatums don't really go over all that well with me, for future reference.

Deleted my last post, as it is no longer relevant, I strongly encourage 'Mr Ultimatum' to do the same.

TP, obvious freeroll chasers should not be allowed in this freeroll, it's pointless, kills the entire idea of a forum freeroll and its a waste of your money and time.

Lets make it fun

It's not a "forum freeroll." It's a semi-open freeroll (see first post)... much like the one rook requested last month that was for non-members only. I hated that idea, but this is a compromise. This one is for new members AND long standing ones. Why not have a big field and see who comes out on top? It will be fun. And it's not like there is tons of money up for grabs. It's 100 bucks.

Quite frankly, not having to deal with all the shit I did last time trying to protect the password only to have most of the field be crashers anyway - not to mention the hell I went through PMing everyone, etc, etc - no thanks. I'd rather just pony up the $100 and open it up. So that's what I'm planning to do.

Holy crap. I just realized that I don't remember the password! LOL - you GOTTA love that! Hopefully I can find it

Yes

In other words, it would probably be a good idea to be online here right before the tourney starts.

I understand and appreciate your objections. But that's not how this one time tourny is going to work. Maybe you've forgotten the hell that was the last tourney. Do you really want 100s of idiots flooding the board with stupid posts, pretending to be legit members of the community? Not me.

This is an open freeroll, and that's that. One post in this thread, with a Stars screen name, is all it takes to get in.

I have my reasons. I'm thinking long term here. Just trust me on this, will ya?

If you don't want to play because it will be mostly strangers, I understand, but I hope you do. would like to see as many regulars as possible signed up.

It's contained to this thread, isn't it? That's the key. And if we get 5-10 new good posters out of it, like we did last time, I'll be happy.
