Nomination or not...winning money or not...I'm staying because I've already won about $100 by reading your posts about strategy and things of that nature. I don't post often for many reasons:
1. If I don't have anything noteworthy or worth saying, I don't say anything.
2. I travel a good deal with my work.
3. My son travels almost as much as me with his soccer team and wrestling team, thus making me travel without work.
4. I mainly joined to learn more about real money poker, not to win any popularity contests or really to make a bunch of online friends (even though many of you seem to be great people), it's plain and simple, if someone knows a good deal more about something than I do I watch what they do, listen to what they have to say or in this case read what they have to say, and apply the information I've gained myself. For that information I am very appreciative. I will try to post some more as I can, which I hope will be to thank you all again for your helping me continue to win more at poker.

the 3 I was thinking of choosing have already been nominated so no need to re nominate them like TP said...so

I'm going to go a different route and nominate the only 2 women I know of :
N1kita & chrisash

*only fair that all the women get a chance at this too, imo

Thanks for the nomination. I'm all about this forum and learned some great things that have contributed to increasing my stack. This is a great place to hang my hat and I enjoy playing with you folk.

My nomination would is a bit interesting and probably will get a reply or two. The folks who are contributing still IMHO are fantastic posters and chances are will all get nominated anyhow.

I'm going with Longshot (even though he already nominated himself sorta). He may not have been truthfull but I think he is eager and hungry to learn this game as we all are. I think he was just trying to impress you all and due to his youth..well, he has a bit to learn. I think with some good mentoring and a bit of guidance (theres alot of posters here who are good mentors) he may end up being a force on the table. Just my 2 cents.

Flame away......

Thank-you for the nomination.

There were a couple people I was thinking of too, but they were already nominated, so no need to mention them again.

And I just wanted to state a quick opinion. I love this idea and I think you're are amazing TP for offering all these rewards and freerolls. I doubt there are many other forums out there that offer so much (it makes me laugh thinking about the freeroll whores, had they behaved and stuck around, they would have had the opportunity to make more money than just participating in the original freeroll). Anyway, and I don't want this to sound negative or like I'm campaigning for votes, but I don't think any of us new guys deserve this reward (YET). None of us have been here long enough or contributed even half as many posts as the veterans have. I would actually rather see this money go to a veteran. They were the ones who had to tolerate the mess that the forum became because of the freeroll whores. This forum would not be the forum I want to come to everyday, if it wasn't for the veterans. Anyway, I'm not sure how I'm going to do it, but if I do win I want to give the money to one of the veterans. Either by have a vote like this, or maybe putting a bounty on my head (only veterans qualify to win), at the next tourney I'm in. Like I said, this isn't a campaign, I just wanted to get my thoughts out there and let you guys know what I think of this site.

I think this is really big of you (as is not nominating yourself, for those that didn't), but this award is for the newbies. Believe me when I say the vets are thrilled to have a few new quality posters after all that nonsense. Of course the vets deserve contest money and promo stuff too, and they get it now and then, but this one is newbie exclusive.

Because I said so.

BTW... contrary to popular belief (or at least what I think popular belief is), I didn't srart this forum nor do I contribute to it in hopes of getting rich. Sur e, it would be nice to make a few bucks off the site (and when all is said and done, I guess I do), but that's not my motivation. So as appreciation for you guys supporting this site by joining new poker sites through my links, I like to give back to the community too. It's win win win!

Okay, you changed my mind--a bit. I understand a little better now how us new guys do deserve this. But, I think I will still do the bounty thing. If I do win any of this money, at the next tourney I'm in whoever takes me out, new poster or old poster will win the money. It's free money after all and I'm just going to lose it at poker either way. And hey, it's incentive for me to win the tourney! I won't have to give the money away then and I will feel like I earned it.

Just a thought, instead of $15 and $10 for new members, you could give two entries into the tournament on Tuesday, that way we could sort of keep the TP money together. Unless of course someone couldn't make it to the tournament.

Edit: I guess this is sort of what Nak1ta(sp?) just said above

I like that idea. Especially since first and foremost we are here to play poker, second is to make money. (But then no bounty from me! )

I like that idea a lot.

I'll set this poll up later today. On my way out for football now!
