ok so the point system souds very good. But what is the point of a point system that you would win all of the entry fee's in the end if its only 5 dllars per person, when every tourney minumum is going to be just over 5 dollars. Does it make snese to you to play very verygood win through points and in the end only getlike 40 dollars through the points. I would say that is pretty low. Thats where i suggested a 15 - 20 buy in tha way the point system in the end actually matters and you get paid for it. I would say if its a 5 dollar for the league then just forget the pont system all together because it doesnt payout much at all.

I understand your point by making it $5 was hopeing to get more people involved in it. usually it get divided 60%30%10% for 1st 2nd and 3rd at end of leaugue, I was hopeing by having low buy in you can attract about 25 people to this $125 prize pool and any money you make along the way. This was brought up more of a way for everyone to have fun playing together rather then a way to make money.

well i understand what youre saying. so its either more people less money or less people more money. Or maybe make a compomise andmeet in the middle and make it 10 dollars. And have buy ins between 5 and 10 dollars.

Make it so top 6 in the league are eligible for something special at the end. maybe call t final event

that sounds dooable to me, just gotta make sure you use like top 6 or 7 scores throught the league so its fair to everyone. I can garantee you not everyone is gonna make all the torneis. Also gotta try to set them at different times am/pm...

Exactly!

This isnt something that we can start within the next couple of days. I say its something that we need to plan for a while. Take our time with it that way we can get it run right. And actually get everyones input and just make it imply a majority rulesthat is the most civil way we can do this. So i think we need to talk all of this over. Maybe even attempt a minumum of 25 people i dont know if that can be done but it sounds right Because remember like you said we wil not e able to get evryone and not verone is going to want to play omaha and stud if we do have it.

So we need to plan this for a while, and figure out an actual schedule.

Or how about if its a 10 dollar league buy in and we have minumum of 20 players. The top 6 players using the point system will all meet for a " WPT Style Final Table " for the entrance fee prize pool. I thik that sounds nice it gives you something to shoot for in the end with you being consistent as lon as your earnings you take through your individual tournament earnings

after the holidays for sure, was thinking 2 games a week one AM and one PM, one on weekend and one on weekday. Probollly weekend one in AM, run it for a month meaning 8 games and top 5 scores just to see how it runs. If its a sucess then run it longer next time. If we have enough people then yea we can run a top 6 at end of league.

I think Pokerstars would be the best due to the fact that majority of people here have a running account with Ps.

And yea different buy ins would be great also.

And yes th minumum 30 woud be great so that way we can hopefully get he 18-20 because like you said not everyone will show. So if we get 2/3 to show we would be looking at 18 which is good.

And maybe i we do have enough player fo thetop 6 " so called main event " we could even allow other players to buy in that were not in the top 6 but for a larger price to add the pool for the main event. But the top 6 will generally get a free roll to the main event.

gimme your input

I think it sounds like $10 would be a good idea, IMO. That would give a pretty big pool and hopefully will let enough people participate.

Question 1:
Would anyone NOT participate due to the league entry fee if it was $10 (either because that is too high or because it HAS to be $20 in their opinion)?

I agree with Brian that a 25 player pool would be a "good" size BUT, if we are having 2-3 events each week, not everyone is going to show up for all of them, then I think we need to have 30+ overall to get the turnout (at least 10) for each event.I would rather see this be 18-20 minimum per event but I doubt that is going to happen (based on past results).

Question 2:
Would it be possible to have some events at a different site? For example Stars is $10+$1 and u for buyins. If we were able to also set up some other games at Full Tilt (variety of games and $5+.50 buyin) would that make sense (or would anyone have a problem with it)? Both Stars and Full Tilt are said to have good tourney structures, right?

having it on multiple sites might cause problems for some. Might mean that some might have to move money around and they may not want to but I think we could put it up for a vote. I agree the $10 is a good amount. Maybe try to keep the 1st one just on stars then if its a sucess maybe next one run at multiple sites.

Default got idea

ok everyone should make 1 event a week right?

how about we do this 6 weeks long top 6 scores count.

2 games per week.

this way you can play all 12 if you want to increase your odds of getting better scores but if you only make 1 a week you still will get to put a complete score in.

I think the entire league should be on one site (Poker Stars), and I think we should start in Janaury.

Default Ok

here is what we got so far, its far from final but thought id get a clean post about it.

Buy in for league most likley is gonna be $5 or $10 for entry to league.

games will be held on stars and all tornies will be pay tornies, I really dont want TP putting any money into this. The guy has paid enough about time he got a break in my opinion. If he wishes to put something up at end of league for the top 6 people in league to play for thats fine.

I would like to alternate the buyins for the tornies but I think the lowest buy in tornies at stars are $10 is this right or can you also do $5 ones anyone know?

hold-em seems like MOST people prefer game so think we should do 2 holdem and one alternate game per week. That would seem fair to everyone.

participation in the weekly games is another story we need at least 2 tables to make the torney go for that day. So at least 20 people need to show up for the game if not the torney should be canceled that day.

anyone got anything else to add to this speak up.
