Seems like a really bad idea to have a "plant" playing like that. Seems a lot more liekly to me that this was what I like to call a "bluff." PHil had probably been pushing him around, and he though his reraise was weak so he pushed in to put him to the test. Phil happened to have a moster and called. It was bad timing - an ill timed bluff. That's all. It's just part of the game.

People are always so quick to call shenanigans when they see something that look funny, like ultra aggressive play. In Heads Up, I'm not sure there is anything I could question, short of someone CALLING a huge all in with 5 high (and winning) or something along those lines.

i dont think that guy is a plant at all. from the times that i have seen him play, he has done pretty damn well in high stakes HU limit holdem. i cant say anything about his abilities at no limit, but i dont see anything that is that fishy in hi splay here.

he sensed weakness, and pushed. he ran into a legit hand, it happens all the time. especially in a shorthanded game, you are going to see moves like this.

from the play that i have seen from him, he is a good player. i havent seen enough to say that he is an expert, or that he is world class, but he has absolutely held his own playing HU against both Ivey and D'Agostino, taking a good chunk of change from both of them.

anyways, if the site was using plants, wouldnt they have those players lose to the pros? it would just build the mystique of the pros, which is why so many people go to the site anyways. i know that jacksjr lost this hand, but overall i think he is doing pretty well against the pros.

Default Ivey,

Ivey hasn't been on the circuit for a while. I didn't see him on in a while since The Hunt For Red Headsup Tourneys came. Now, hes going to be on it regularly.

Me thinks you have no idea what "the circuit" is.

I think the point he was trying to make here was that it looked like the K3 might have been 'passing chips' to Ivey.

Because, you know, AA NEVER gets sucked out on.
