Usually my rebuy strategy is:

Add on before the first hand, and allow myself one more rebuy during the rebuy period. If I dont use it, I add on at the end of the period, if I use it and bust out, I leave.

i don't generally like to do re-buy tournys (mostly because i play much more aggressive when i have a "way out") but when i do i always re-buy before the tourny starts...wanna have as much chips as possible.

I hate rebuy tourneys. A good old freeze-out is the way to go. I know that those will argue that rebuys build the prizepool, but i think that the buy-in should set the prize pool and after the first hand everyone should be equal. Rebuys and add-ons just favor people who are willing to pay more money.
