Unless I am mistaken it is only for the blinds when nobody calls till it gets to the Small Blind and if you both have the chop button checked your blinds are returned and the hand is over, button moves and next hand is dealt.

I believe that is right. Thinking more about it (as in "chop" the prize pool at the end of a tourney), it would make no sense to split the pot on the river between two players left in the hand......what was I thinking????
I still haven't seen it used, although there are usually one or two players at a full table with it selected all the time. |

i only play low limits both online and b&m, and the opportunity comes up to chop so infrequently that it is essentially a useless option.
i think that if i played with significantly higher limits, the option of avoiding the rake as often as possible would be welcome. hoever, i cant see myself using it at the limits i play now. |
