so im missing something -- what happens if you start to lose? Do you only lose 20 dollars and then quit as well or jus keep playing until u end up 20 over or go bankrupt? This doesnt seem to make sense here...

This is actually a really bad strategy, and I'll tell you why.
Before I do though, let me tell you that a lot of people play like this, and I used to as well. I always wanted to log a winner, no matter what it took. The problem is you end up logging tons of small winning sessions and then occasional HUGE losing ones (where you oculdn't get back to even. The biggest problem with this strategy is it has you quitting when you are winning (when you hit your $20) and continuing to play when you are losing (assuming you don't quit when you drop $20). And this is exactly the opposite of how you should play. When you are winning, it's often because table conditions are favorable to you, and when you are losing, it's ofdten because they are unfavorable. So................ when you are losing, you need to have the discipline to walk away and come back another day, but when you are winning, you should keep playing as long as possible - until the favorable table conditions change anyway, or you get tired/hungry or something like that. Make sense? |

first to answer zymbobs question, no i dont quit when i lose $20, so far, for 7 days, i have been able to win 20 every day. Sometimes i win it in 10 minuts and bam i quit, other times i lose 20 first and play until i win 20.
Now, for TP, yes i understand why its a pretty much horrible strategy. I guess it just seemed good because so far i have won everyday. I could however see how hitting a run of bad luck and bad play could get me to have a huge losing session while trying to make that measely $20. It actually isnt fun playing like this either, like i said, it seems hardly like poker, since i get up and leave so fast. I know its not a good strategy at all and how bad it is but for some reason when i set this goal of $20 it so far has been Extremely easy to reach and really is helping build a deent bankroll. I only got like 300 on there but ive cashed out about 300 so i count that as having around 600 for poker now. |

Well, keep at it. Hopefully you'll get your roll up to $1000, but I predict you will have a -$150 day first, and then BAM, there go a week's worth of winnings.
