So, you suggest the $6+.50 TURBO SnGs? Why turbo? Why not regular?

going from a healthy bankroll to your eggroll is rough. If your really want to grind it out I suggest playing those low NL games which you hate. If you want to gamble go to the 1/2 short games because like you said they are very soft. If you go the later route though expect that there is a very good chance you may be writing a post next week explaining how you got busted out against a guy who hit runner runners or something like that.
I was never real happy with low limit sit and gos so I dont suggest those. I dont think you should take it to 2/4 because 2 hands and you might be busted out. |

I like the 3 table SnG for about 5 or 10, its a little bit of gamble but with decent luck you can get yourself more than what the single tablers give you. And I enjoy them honestly, its like a MTT (technically i guess it is) except not so incredibly long. Oh, and dont forget the heads up matches. If you are a gambler these are good. I consider myself decnet at heads up and won quite a few there, like 80% but then I have evened out by bad luck and a little poor play.

Hey Lou, have you considered bonus whoring on Casino sites to boost the bank roll? I think a few of us have done pretty well with that. Let me know if you're interested.

I haven't considered it, and I wouldn't be interested. Thanks anyway, S.

Turbo, because theyre faster, duh.
![]() JK. I really have no patience for a full SNG at stars, they take way too long, sometimes up to an hour and a half. I play SNG's at party and noble all day long, they are my bread and butter. The turbos at stars fit into this timeframe of under 45 minutes at the MAX. This format also leads to fish, monkeys, and complete donkeys filling out the rest of the line up, looking for a quick buck. Expect all ins every other hand with ace 4 off and the like. Good fun if you can stand the occasional monster suckout ![]() |

This sort of question has probably been asked many times....and yet people still give mediocore advice. For all low limit players trying to build bankrolls there's two words for you: BONUS WHORING.
There is literally thousands off dollars available for players. And a lot of them are suitable to people with low bankrolls. All you have to do is do a bit of homework and look for the right bonuses for your style. For a player that has never played online poker, I could easily find them bonuses and affilate programs, eg. Talking Poker's $50 offer at Noble, to build a bankroll of $0 into over $1000 in less than a month if the player was able to play just break even poker. As for playing which tables, go with what you enjoy. Even though you can build it up playing low limits, if your hearts not in it and you're not having a good time, you will a small amount and not enjoy it. It's similar to me giving you 10 cents an hour to watch paint dry. Will you make money? Yes. Is it worth it? No. So if every dollar counts towards your bankroll, then never play for free. There's always a bonus available. |
