You've moved up in stakes quite a bit recently, right? How's your bankroll doing?

I really like the $2/$4 NL tables. I tend to do a lot better at them than at the $1/$2 ones for whatever reason. I think it's because there are better players and they play more like I would expect them to play. Using Game Theory at limits any lowe trhan this seems to be a complete waste of time...

I think you have a good point...even though some players were making some real strange calls last night (check calling with A10 all the way down when I raised preflop and the flop hit 10 high etc) But the moves you make work alot better bc people play the way they should and thus the bad beats are less.

After a horrible end of april for me, which put me in my first negative month since november, I had a average may until this past week. I had a decent win streak the first few days, then kinda lingered around until this past week going up 100 down 100 and back again. Then I won 2 back to back all in pots which netted a total of $400 and left a sesson up about 475. I went on to go up 260 in my next session, 300 the next, and 900 last night. I planned on leaving the tables for over an hour before I actually did, because I was just so hot, and I had such a table image.

I haven't really moved up too much in stakes -- I started at .50/1.00 and played some 1/2 as well. Now I play mostly 1/2 and some 2/4

One thing I really noticed that improved in my play (especially shown last night) Was I was laying down hands like KQ and AJ to preflop raises. Sure you can take a pot down, but with a hand like these you want to be the raiser not the caller. Calling can get you in trouble if you do hit (AQ, AK) and if you miss you are going to be faced with a continuation bet and then u have to decide to muck or make a raise and see if hes bluffing which could cost you more.... (This is specific for cash games here) I think I saved tons of money folding those two specific hands alone.

That and player notes are so useful stuff like 'raises minimum when hes bluffing otherwise raises more' Or bets small on flush draws, then big if it comes' Along with the obvious 'complete idiot will call anything take all his money' lol (or even smart player who can make a big laydown if you show a lot of strength)

Assuming I finish the rest of May even or better this is by far my biggest winning month ever. I am currently up $2287 for the month (with $1935 coming in my last 4 sessions)
