They dont favor people with the most money, unless you cant afford to rebuy at all, and in that case you shouldnt be in the tourney.

Rebuys just build up the prizepool..which is always nice. And if you have to rebuy, it means your chips are somewhere else on the table, so you already in a hole.So having more money, and re buying a lot, only serves to give more chips to your opponents, while you are back where you started. Although, there is one strategy, Im not sure if its been touched on somewhere else on this forum. but here goes.

Some players, if they are starting on an early table where they know the table won't get broken for a long time, like to rebuy a lot. They want to play wild for the first 30 min or so, and hope it becomes contagious. Cause if it does, that means a whole lot of chips will be on your table after the hour is over...in fact, they are hoping that more chips are on their table than on any other. That gives them the oppourtunity, if things fall right, to build an incredibly huge stack as the tourney progresses....which is the obvious goal in any tourney.
