To look cool?
The guy was playing for $5 million, I doubt he wanted to look cool and risk his chances. They will not cap the amount of entrants, I don't believe. Why the hell would they? The more the people, the more money they make and the bigger the prize pool they can advertise for 2006. I'd say by 2006 you will see 10,000 players playing, and they may have no choice but to start the tourney online.
