The 15k package breakdown is something like:
10.3k entry 2.8k hotel 1k food credit (you don't have to use it...but if you only eat at the resort, it won't last a week) 1k for flight. As for examples of prices on the resort - - $5.5 USD for a plain bagel (nothing in it) - A slice of pizza was ~12 bucks - Dinner is typically ~$50+/plate for any place on the resort that's not fast food There is a small restaurant on the resort that won't let you use your food credit called Anthony's Grill. The food is decent there for about ~25 bucks a plate. Also a Quizno's. I highly recommend not drinking tap water from restaurants. Even the jugs of bottle water provided in the pokerroom tastes odd. I would only drink bottle water or other beverages. It's a lot cheaper if you took a taxi or ferry to downtown and buy food (or have someone go for you if you are playing). The resort is nice if you're into water activities. I think most ppl just end up drinking and going down the lazy river when they bust. |

I love Atlantis, but I'm a beach type of guy. When I'm not playing, I'd be in the pool or at the beach, or checking out the aquarium for the 10th time.
Yeah, the food was pricey, but big deal. You've got $2k cash to spend. Flight will probably cost you $2-500, depending where you are coming from, leaving you plenty for food. I flew myself and two others there for like $600 total. And the $1400 left was more than enough to cover all of our food plus give them each a little shopping spree at the resort to buy overpriced Atlantis stuff with what was left of our food credit. Sure, you won't be able to eat at the super expensive buffet every single meal, but who would want to anyway? I mean, you wouldn't be eating like that at home. Just eat reasonably and you'll be fine. And if you end up spending a couple hundred out of pocket when all is said and done somehow, big freaking deal. $200 out of pocket for a > $15k package? Yeah, not a bad deal. Go nuts. |

I'm glad you said this, this is exactly how I feel too. Pretty sure I just won a $15k package for free almost, pretty sure I won't care about food prices down there at all

Looks like you are 3 spots from shipping another package, aka $15k cash. That should help with your Atlantis expenses a bit.
![]() GL! I have yet to play one of these, but see there is a 30 seat guarantee next weekend. I'll probably play that. Any other recommendations for specific tourney to try this week? |

ya thanks, won another.....2 in 5 tries...and bubbled another one cause I'm an idiot.
Not sure what you mean by specific tourney to try? If you mean to get into the $700 qualifier.....there's not that many options. I think Stars has very few options to get into it, imo. They have very few $80 freezeouts...and have a bunch of 10r to get into it. The 10r are a bit of a crap shoot...not that many seats..and turbo. Stars has like a bunch of $204 hyper turbo right before it starts. I've gotten into the $700 playing these most of the time. These are pretty high variance....I've spent like 816 to get in last week, but I think there's value....of course it's better to not wait last second to play these to enter....as they can be pretty tilting if you lose several in a row. The only other feasible option is to play steps until you reach step 5 then use the ticket to get into the $700. |
