AND FULHAM AVOID THE DROP!!!!!!!!!
In most countries the soccer league is a single table instead of divided into conferences and whatnot. In England, there are 20 teams in the top league (like major leagues in baseball). At the end of the season the bottom 3 teams are dropped into the second division (continuing the baseball analogy, AAA ball) and the top 3 teams of the second division are promoted up to the top league. This promotion and relegation occurs throughout the entire structure of professional and semi-pro leagues.
My team, Fulham, had to win yesterday on the last day of the season to avoid being relegated, and they did!
