Default Drama...

Background:

With 20 minutes to go before the tourney started, I got a PM from a brand new member. He said he was new, but he liked the look of the forum and really wanted to play in tonight's tourney. I asked him to give me his word that he would stick around and make some quality posts, and he said he would. So I let him play.

I thought about telling him he was ineligible for the bounty, but I didn't. I really, really, really didn't think he'd end up being the one to knock me out. So of course, he was.

He asked if he really won the bounty and could really collect the prize. I said yes, he did, but since he's the new guy, I think it would be really cool of him to offer it up as a prize for the tourney winner (he was chip leader at the time). He didn't seem to big on this idea - which is understandable - he did win the book fair and square.... and admittedly, I was putting him on the spot.

So, long story short. This was my screw up. That means there's another book up for grabs for the winner of this tournament.

GL everyone!

Edit: If the new guy wins the tourney, no, he does not get 2 books! Then everything just works itself out all cool like.

Default The mouth is out

For whatever reason, I can't stay connected on Stars for more than 25 minutes straight.

I literally sat out for 25 to 30 minutes of the tourney.

Oh well, enough bitching.

I made a stellar call K10 vs. AA to feed the chip leader.

Thanks for letting "new guy" in TP!

Default Idea...

When this tourney gets bigger.... like if it ever hits 50 entrants or something.... I should give prizes to various people: Best hand (Lou had AAAA tonight - that was the best I saw), Worst Beat, etc.

So, let's all try to get more and more people involed in this forum, and before you know it, we'll ba having ourselves some really nice MTTs.

We're down to 3 right now, btw. ChipFish, badblood44, and Demonstalker (who is just barely hanging on).

Worst beat? There were many, but, how about losing to a 2 outer for a chop that would have given me chip lead? Of course I did give a bad beat back to 'new guy' later on to hang on for awhile longer.
This sucks for Chip.
Mad props to BadBlood for not running him over during disconnections.

I saw your 2 out chop. I think I saved it off.

And yeah, bad time to lose a connection. Props to BadBlood44.

Sucks to be to my left doesn't it. Funny thing is, I never made a steal with mediocre cards. Just happened to have a decent hand and have the pack fold down to me one off of the button about 15 times.

I liked the way the tourney was going for me. Was making a lot of steals and had a good image and the inevitable Stars Disconnect!!!!!!!!!!

Oh well, I'm stupid for playing. It happens 8 out of 10 tourneys I play there.

I'm writing a letter this morning and trying to whine $50 out of them for a bonus or something.

How many turned out? Sounds like it was a decent number of people.
