![]() I mean like play over and done with maybe even 5 seconds after whistle and BOOM down goes Brady GG. I don't see that every week.

![]() No matter how mean these guys are, no matter how pissed off they might get, I doubt you'll see a player do something that would clearly lead to the immediate end of his own career. To continue, though. The last tiebreaker in determining home field advantage is total point differential. The Redskins game was 24-0 at the half. You can't honestly suggest sitting Brady after only a half. That's stupid for 2 reasons 1) 24-0 is not insurmountable in the NFL 2) The last thing you want to do is get your starters used to playing less than a full game. The Pats took the opening kickoff of the 2nd half and ran 8 minutes off the clock scoring their next TD. They scored 3 TDs after that. One was a short field after a strip sack, and another was by Cassell, who after being pulled after one series and a pick-6 the week before, came in with something to prove. Are players supposed to stop playing hard because they have a big lead? No such thing as "running up the score."

So going for it on 4th down and having a 35-0 lead and having Brady sneak it yah not running it up at all. I'm not saying its bad just stupid to have Brady do a sneak. I couldn't care less how much points the Yankees , i mean Patriots score.

In that situation, kicking a field goal would usually be considered bad form. Running a play action pass would seem like rubbing their noses in it. Running ap lay that usually gets a fraction of a yard to me seems like trying to avoid rubbing it in.
The conventional wisdom up here is that Belichick *was* trying to infuriate the Redskins so they'd take it out on this week's opponent - the Jets. ![]()
