It didn't seem to be happening here, so I joined one elsewhere.

So basically, in order for a league to happen (here), I have to set it up...?

I guess I don't understand why that has to be the case... Why couldn't you (or anyone else who posted interest in this thread) come up with a schedule and set it up?

The reason I didn't do this myself, btw, is because it seems like we only had 10 or so people interested, and I don't think that's enough for a fun league. I think we need 20 or so to at least show interest for it to be worth doing.

I see your point sir. I'd still be interested in doing this even it ended up being a one table weekly tournament. It's a nice chance to play with people who I know actually think about the game.

To this end, I am willing to set it up. I am sure I can do this on FT (I believe any real money account person can request private tournaments). Stars is a problem though. I stopped playing regularly there before I crossed the 2000 FPP threshold needed to set it up. I am certain that a solution to this would present itself as things unfold.

Would anyone object to me running with this right now? If not, I would begin to gather current information about current interest, such as buy-in, site, game types, night of the week, starting time, etc. (as this thread is getting older).

If the games end up on FT, I won't be able to play. I don't plan on depositing any money on there. As for setting up Stars tournies, if you create the schedule I'd be happy to set them up.

I'd love for you to "run with this." Hammer out some more details, propose a schedule, etc, etc... once you have some commitments from people, I'll make an official thread and we'll see how it goes. Take a look at the old league(s) for some ideas, plus the suggestions already posted in this thread.

As for where to play, since there are mixed opinions, how about having games on multiple sites?

Also, if Player A has money on Stars and not Tilt and Player B has the opposite, I see no reason why they couldn't swap a buy in or two and then everyone is happy, right? I'll probably even make an exception to my own personal rule and help trusted members move money around if they need me to.
