i know this is probaly just a stupid post like all my others but what if ev1 could use the talking poker logos for there poker names might increase some members and some guaranteed tourneys for members only.

Sure, we'd have a lot more READERS if the forums were open, but I don't think we'd have any more posters.

When I'm going to join a new forum, I lurk for a couple days/weeks. Then, if I decide I want to comment, I join. I don't think I have ever just joined a forum not even reading any threads at all from the site.

If this forum was private when I first saw it, I probably would have just moved along and never joined. Of course, I'm sure there are some people that would like to have seen me move on.

I too believe that removing the "privacy" of the board would help get new registrations.
