yes very aware of that, in limit he basicly says go in with the best, I still like to play the connectors if I can get in for 1 bet there easy to lay down if I dont flop a open ended or a made hand.

Actually, Doyle doesn't say anything on limit, it's Bobby Baldwin.

You better make sure that when you're going in with j10 that you're in late position, with 4 callers minimum, without a raise. You shouldn't be calling with those in mid to early because you may not get enough players in or you may get raised.

If you don't have enough people in the pot, you shouldn't be calling, even if it's for one bet. I dont' care what your session memory tells you, you will lose money in the long run if the pot odds aren't big enough.

Yeah..... I guess I'm not really sure what the question is either? It's so broad... can you maybe be a little more specific than "When do you chase?"

Well ive been talking to people and some never chase and then some chase but never a gutshot. Was just wondering on everyones personal opinion, just wondering how many people you want in the pot to chase something or how many bets do you personally call to chase it, I know it depends on the pot odds also but some have to have personal rules they follow when they decide to chase that 4-8 outer to make the best hand.

I only chase when I think I got good odds. Especially gutshots. I LOVE chasing gutshots when I have odds, especially when it's to the nuts .

Probably the only chase I might fold is when I have second pair or third pair, and I can chase for 2 pair or trips. Some instances, even with what look like good odds, I'll fold.

Cheers,

Gutzz

Well then, that's easy. In limit, it's simple math. In NL, it's all about implied odds.... and is usually correct to chase more - especially draws to the nuts.
