id defff call that.

and im just wondering, do u play shortstacks HU alot, like if they sit with 25 BI's, will you play them? I'm sure their +EV cuz they all suck but i dn if its worth the time and frustration and lately i havent been playin them. Plus if they double up they leave right away. j/w what you do

Do you ever fold to a 3-bet preflop? I'm being serious, not funny.

yes

in fact i fold relatively strong hands like ATo or KTo to 3-bets some times because they play so horribly postflop. suited connectors and pairs are easier to play and so i rarely fold them if i'm 100+bb deep.

in this hand we're both over 200bb deep, i have suited gappers and i have a massive postflop advantage over my opponent (i mean just look at the flop/turn play). i would probably fold (maybe 50% of the time?) to the same opponent if we were only 100bb deep.

i've become much more liberal with calling 3-bets as i've got more competent postflop HU.

Good explanation. I was about to ask the same question.

Instinctively, I would have wanted to pitch the 52 in the first hand when he 3 bet, but your explanation makes good sense. I would have called (quickly) the second hand - Like you said, there guys are terrible.

And I'm glad it's possible to get used to and not bothered by the shortstack hit and run... cause I'm not there yet. I hate those pricks.

yeah that hand confused the crap out of me, i really thought he had QT or Q4, oh well...

yeah i'll play shortstacks these days, 25bb or more. I'm willing to get it in really, really light against them because they are almost always horrible.

i'm totally used to being hit and run. just expect it.
