read the jones book first if you want to play low limit holdem. all of the other books that you listed are helpful, but the jones book pertains exactly to your situation, and it is very helpful.

i agree with the other sauggestion about not 4-tabling while trying a new game. even if you can do it without overlap, and you feel comfortable 4-tabling in general, you arent comfortable with the game yet, and that is the most important thing. be patient with it, and pay attention to 1-2 games for right now, and put in the hours there.

Ok ok ok.

How bout 2 1/2 limit tables and 2 .5/1? Honestly I don't feel like I have to try to beat .5/1, so by having 2 of each I could just focus on the 1/2 tables? Then, after I've played, say, 4k hands at 1/2, I could open 3 1/2 tables and 1 .5/1? Then, after 10k hands, go 4 1/2 tables?

When I play NL on PS I'm usually 5 tabling... Now now don't make that face .

Cheers,

Gutzz

i dont doubt at all that you can handle playing mutiple tables at once, it was more just that you are making an adjustment to a new game.

i would just exercise patience. of course if you think that you can handle it, then by all means go for it. i would just be very careful and to make sure that your full attention is on the game.

Hey Pivotal,

I play on my laptop and it has pretty high resolution (1600x1200). The downside is I usually play while watching TV .

Yeah I'll slow down. Maybe just 2 table.

You guys might laugh, but I had planned on getting a 19 inch flatscreen monitor so I could eventually play more than just 4 with no overlap... I was thinkin 6-8 .

Hmmm, another benefit to just 2 is it'll strain my wireless connection less, when the connection is weaker.

Cheers,

Gutzz

I have been playing a little $1/2 limit myself...3-handed I was controlling the table and now the table has filled up, up around $35 for an hour's work.
