You used to have to email them to set them up. I imagine that is still the case.

Correct. At least it was back then.
As for the HU SNGs, it depends what you mean. You can schedule (at least an hour in advance, I think) a HU tourney that is open to multiple people.... but you can not set something up for 2 people only or anything that will start immediately. At least that's how it used to be. I talked with Lee Jones about this a couple of years ago at the WSOP, and they had no intention of changing this, even though I think it would be a nice feature for their site, and very simple to implement. |

Why not just join a HU tourny at the same time and then play?

Timing this exactly right is very, very difficult - especially at the lower level buy ins. Try it sometime.

Had problems posting again and I noticed TP answered your question already.
As for the HU tourney question, you can surely do it for 2 players and at any amount you choose. All you need to do is set the password for the 2 of you. |

Nope. Private tourneys on Stars require a minimum of 3 participants or else they auto-cancel.

Then do you care to explain how Boobie and I played heads up rather easily in a private tournament on stars? I don't know how he set it up, all i know is that we definately played.

I believe TP is mistaken, I have played quite a few of these private HU matches with 1 other friend and they are private. Stars clearly must have changed the rules. GG Stars! |
