Default December Goals...

I want to get my goals out of the way. I'm so happy its a new month.

This month I'm prob gonna play a TON. 10 tabling stars I can get about 950 hands/hr. So a bit more than 2 hours a day and almost 60k hands, so...

1) Try to play at least 50k hands this month (by far my most ever, yet very doable ).
2) Win 20k+
3) Get better, play good
4) No playing 30/60 Limit+ or 2k NL+.

I should accomplish every goal here.

Since I only accomplished one of my goals mine are going to look pretty much the same:

1. Play 6k hands
2. Final table a Tournament ( I got 27th , 30th and 32nd in three 1200+ Person tourneys last month)
3. Win $200
4. Get better at Omaha ( My weakest game and always lose in this round in HORSE)

1. Build my roll up to $200.
2. Play 2k hands at $10 NL.
3. Boobie has enough points to play ~23 1000 pt tourneys. So, I'd like to use those and place in at least 5. I'm not sure how I want to use the Tourney $ yet. I will decide once I win some.

Why do you limit yourself like this? Are you happy playing the microlimits forever? Because if you never let your bankroll grow, then you've already reached your peak.

I'm sure that's fine for some, but I would have it. I mean, do you really need to $100 that much? Why not try to build it up? You can always cash it out if things start to go badly. Or better yet, if you need that $100, cash it out when you get to $200, so you still have some money online...

I know you get some nice perks at Stars because of the FPPs and stuff, but have you figured out just how much money you are throwing away in rake back by not playing at Full Tilt? I'll guess that 50k hands of your limits would come out to $2500-$3000 in rakeback. And Full Tilt gives out points too, not to mention other rewards for their top players - Iron Man freeroll, free shots at Aussie seats, etc, etc...

Just saying.

And yes, I know you don't like the overlap on your monitor when you play on FT. So peel $1k out of last month's $21k and buy yourself a nice new monitor.

1. 10k hands of 6 max NL... 2/4 and 3/6 mostly, but the occasional shot at 5/10 is ok. Nothing higher.
2. Don't feel like I HAVE to play every day. If I get Iron Man, great... If not, I don't care. I only want to play when I want to play this month.
3. Log a winning month. Ok ok, a better goal would be for me to say Win $5k, but after last month, I need to just log a winner to get back on track. If I end up CRUSHING this goal, great, but I need to beat it.

I like the idea of logging a winning month like this month,
lets make it two in a row.

Taking a long vacation this month, and with the holidays on top of it that means not a lot of poker. So my goals are more modest.

1). As always, figure out how to be decision orientated and not results orientated.
2). Play 4K hands
3). Be bankrolled for $50NL at the end of the month.

October - Holdem 32,106 hands +$40,932
Omaha 2,249 hands +3,370

November - Holdem 40,309 hands -$3416
Omaha 1,596 hands +1267

December goals:

Lets go for 35,000 hands and 15K. Most of my hands will likely be at 2-4 NL but I have had some success playing as high as 10/20 and will take some shots at bigger games from time to time.

First - Welcome back to the forum. Did you even realize you were chatting with me on Full Tilt earlier tonight? I have a different screen name now than when you met me, so I wasn't sure if you knew it was me. Hint: You were very nice and gave me your stack after I flopped the nuts with KK.

I find your numbers fascinating, since I also KILLED in October and then logged a losing November. What's up with that?

BTW - I'm also impressed that even with your roll (I assume), you seem to realize that there is nothing wrong with grinding out 2/4 to make relatively easy money... (Take note, JD). For your 32k October hands, what limits did you play mostly? That was a 3/6 and 5/10 month for me, and now I'm back down to 2/4 for a while...
