Default Big tourney winnings?

Just wondering what your biggest tourney winnings were... there's gotta be some superstars in this forum..

also list which site, buyin, entrants, etc.

BTW, my biggest was $25 at a 5+1 at Party. LOL

Default Won a $30+3 a couple of times

Which pays $150 for first. One of these days I'm going to get lucky in the $5 massive-field multis at 11:30 on Party. I've made it to the money a few times on those, but I'm yet to make it to the final table, where the real cash is.

$1750 tied for first in a 30+3 HE Limit at Party.

It came down to the last two, me and another solid tight aggressive player and he asked if I wanted to chop. I said OK as I had to go out to dinner. I'd been playing the tourney for almost 4 hours, and I'd had enough.

The other day I won $1165 in a Speed Tourney on Party.

I have also won $2000 for coming first in a B&M tourney.

i got 1400.00 for getting 5th out of 242 at a local charity tourney. Also, I used to play the 2 and 3 table multi tables at Party a lot. I finished first in a two table 50 for a 400.00 win. Also got second on those a couple of times. In the 30 dollar three table I got third a few times and 1st once.

That's my name, 35th on this list:

Well, it would be if that list was just a tiny bit longer.

I felt like I played really well, but I continued to lose races against short stacks, not to mention losing a ton of chips TWICE when I got shorter stacks all in and had them *dominated*. I'd build up slow and stready, then get my chips in when I was in great shape, only to lose a ton and have to do it all over again. Finally, the blinds were so big I couldn't recover.

If I had NO luck in that tourney, I would have made the money... but the bad luck got the best of me.

Quick side note: I won my seat in this through a satellite. You know that guy who shouts "PRO-FESS-IONAL" in the WSOP intro? I knocked him out on my way to winning it.

My biggest win to date was in B&M and I got £1000 for first place, about $1800. Have yet to have a win online, but have had about 15 2nds. Hopefully I will win an online tourny in the near future.

My (future) brother-in-law just played his first ever live tourney 2 weekends ago at the Eaton's Centre. He just really starting playing poker a few months back. Anyway, buy-in was $15 and there were 40 people in the tournament. I found out about it the night before and was unable to go. The SOB won the tourney and $200. Thing is, if he won it, could have been some easy money for me, but I was glad he had some success. Maybe now I have a companion that wishes to turn pro with me.

Yeah, James, something called the Toronto Poker Tour or something. I'll tell you what, I'll try and get the site info and all that off of him and maybe we could hook up or something and go school these people. Apparently they have a leaderboard for points and the most points wins entry to the 2005 WSOP. I'll try and find out this weekend and post the info here and at ITS.

Note: I'm not actually engaged, but it is as sure as Sean Vernon winning a tourney.

That would be cool.
Then we can blow all our winnings on cheap beer and Golden Tee.

LMAO.

The tables sure can't be too strong, because if I know how he plays, he will play any pair and weak aces.

Great to hear about all the wins/final tables.. my goal for next year is to make it to a final table at a multi (>3 table) tourney. Don't matter the buy-in, any final table will do...

how long did it take you guys to work up to the final table level?

My brother played a freeroll on UB, and I know it's not exactly the brightest balls in the shed playing, but he managed 21st out of 2500 players. I couldn't believe it when he told me, it was his first multi. Took about 4 hours of play.

I won a 20 man that paid $54 or something to the winner. $8 + .80 buy in.

I've one more in shorthanded home tourneys with 6 dudes all chipping in $15 - $30 (rebuys) winner take all. I'm hoping to win that tonight!

It was basically a trust thing. The guy I decided to chop with said he'd transfer the difference in prizemoney (between first and second) into my account - but it took a little time so we had to post and fold blinds up until then.

I wasn't going to intentionally lose and trust him to give me what he owed me afterwards. It all had to be done during play.

After the money went through, he asked if he could take the title as he wanted the tourney points. I didn't have a problem with that.
