Default JDMcNugent7, how did you do it?

Always interesting to see how big online players built their roll.

What did you start with? What did you play? How did you get to where you are?

I consistently grind MTTs and have a few big cashes here and there, but br is still hovering.

the first step is not being a lazy fuck. Follow Jimmym's advice and do a search. here is the link in case you can't see it in the top right of your window.

And Jimmy, it is a pleasure to see you posting around here again. I hope all is well with you.

Are you serious? Did you read the post that you just replied to? If not, go read it now. See the blue URL that is underlined? Click on it.

Alternatively, click on JD's name, click on "View Posts by" or threads or whatever, and go back to the beginning. JD's been posting here since he was a play money guy, so his entire history really is here.

Edit: I have to admit, you are making me have second thoughts about offering to back you. I mean............ dude.

That will get you started with some of the older stuff. I knew someone had posted a "how far has JD come" thread once.

Am I incompetent or does the Search Tool max out at 200 threads when I check out JD? or both?

Yes, I suppose it does. I'll have to look into that.

Edit: OK, I bumped it up to 500. Other than the rare times when you want to look at ALL of someone's posts, 500 should be plenty to dig through.

Hmm it took me alot of trial and error, alot of disappointment, and alot of patience to get to where I am. If I had to say a few of the most important ways to win at poker I'd say:

Read a few poker books, review hands when you're done playing them, don't get emtionally attached to the game, make the best decisions you can, and think of your opponents as oppertunities - figure out their weaknesses and exploit them.

Besides that my whole history is here like TP said. I came here broke and made my way up, and I never post anywhere else.

Here's a tip to get to the beginning: Flip the Find Posts options so it's something like (Last Visit) (And Older), then Sort Results in Ascending Order.
