What was this guy thinking?
Rewatching the 2002 WSOP highlights last night, I believe John Shipley calling $1
million with AJ against Robert Varkonyi is the worst ever play at the WSOP. As for best play, I've seen a lot of great ones, including some amazing laydowns, so I need to think some more. Nominations? |

I cant remember the board either, but I do recall that Varkonyi was playing like a maniac for 3 days, very very recklessly. The fact that he gets no respect from his fellow players speaks volumes.

if varkonyi had any other results of significance, i think that he would at least have a modicum of respect in th epoker community. unlike moneymaker, who has clearly shown skill in other tournaments, i cant think of another time that varkonyi has done something of importance.
