Default New Deposit Bonus from Stars?

What do you all think about the temporary deposit bonus from Stars? $25 free.

Honestly, I don't like it...I know many people who have multiple accounts there (not to cheat) and I'm hoping this bonus doesn't turn Stars into the deposit bonus whoring witch-hunt that's on Party.

It's a first time deposit bonus, so existing stars accounts don't get this.

BTW, what's so bad about bonii?

Stars is normally really fair and understanding. I'm sure they know players on there have multiple accounts but they don't do anything about it as long as the players don't abuse multiple accounts. My main complaint about Party Poker is that is somewhat risky to play there; if you do any shenanigans they'll ban your IP/account and take your money, no questions asked. I think that most of their problems come from the fact that they have a deposit bonus and referral bonus that is easy to clear. I just hope that Stars get some of the problems that Party has.

Sorry I wasn't completely clear, eejit101. Yeah it's only for new deposits only.

Here's an idea: Play by the rules and you'll have nothing to worry about!

If you use multiple accounts, which is a clear violation of the ToS, I think you deserve to have them shut down, even if you never play both at once.

Lastly - why would you not want bonus whores to play on Stars and exactly what problems are you hoping they run into? I guess I'm missing your point.

Well, bonus whores are generally notorious for playing extremely tight. I think I had mentioned it before and on most sites, if you had the patience to simply sit in front of a computer all day and just fold every hand (yes, even AA), you would be able to make some cash this way.

However, on Stars, this is not the case. You would play more in blinds before you ever cleared the bonus to make this "strategy" worthwhile.

Ultra-tight players are easy to beat. Sit me at a table with 8 other guys folding every hand, and I'll happy take the blinds all day long.
