Let there be range!
Ya, that's CTS (Cole South's) new book I just bought for a small fee of $947.
Trip report to come once it gets here. I don't think I'm going to learn anything crazy from this book or anything, but it is impossible to read any of the books out there today that are based off live play. Great learning for beginners, but online is so diff. I would never read anything from a live player anymore (except like the best of the best like Ivey who would prob never write a book). This will get me reading and thinking about the game again and really wanting to play well and should more than pay for it's ridiculous price.

I got through typing my post saying that Amazon is really fucking people with fees, then I googled the title, WOW.....
Guess I won't be picking that one up from the library any time soon? Hope it is worth the $$.

FWIW, I've learned a lot more about how to play NL cash games from this forum (and how to play NL tournaments from Raymer's 2+2 posts pre-2004) than I've ever learned from a book.
But then again a forum is dynamic and a book can't be.

This is just classic JD, right here.
Guy has the money to drop $1k on an e-book, but can't figure out how to open it. I JD. |

My actual first thought was that the introduction chapter should go something like..."Here is your first lesson: Don't fall for stupid shit like this in the future....". [All pages aft3er that are blank]
Sure it has good info for certain audience, but...

For me I would compare it to people who could easily workout in their own home, but they get a gym membership anyway bc it actually makes them go workout.
It's worth it to me for sure just because it gets me really playing again and thinking about poker more, and a handful of hours should easily pay for it. I'm 20 pages in and it's pretty decent, no outrageous ideas i didnt think about before, but still good.

I'm sure there's ways to do it, but the have you download 2 things to protect against it so I doubt it's out there.
