Will probably be in this thread several times today, but want to get started early with a (Gulp) Soccer play. This one comes from a buddy that tells me laying the enormous juice on Italy is a solid play. Game goes at 11:00 EST (about 40 mins) so if you can get in do it.

If your not a regular at betting soccer you may need warned that even though these games are played till a winner is determined and thus no ties, the wager is graded after 90 minutes plus injury time.

That means Italy must win this game in regulation time, if it goes over-time I'm fucked.

The last few days I have really made some really stupid wagers and it's only a matter of time before it catches up to me. Handicapping well is one thing, betting like a fucking tourist is another thing. I really gotta get my head out of my ass here.

That is the price you pay for taking the favorite in a sport where there is no point spread like football has.

i hate to say this, but that aint the best odds.

Id go the other way, i reckon a draw after reg. time.

Italy are good, and can play the game well, but the aussies are thorough tot he last 16, and are fucking happy. Dont count on it as a cert

I have no dillusion that this is a lock, it's not even my handicapping. A while ago I used to post sports plays here as I handicap NHL and Football, I have a friend whom I trade plays with (he own a tout site) and if he says he has info about a game that makes it to his card then I will post it here with no guarantee implied.

If I post it be sure I have money on it, I wouldn't post a play and not risk my own cash on it.

I gamble much more on sports than I do playing poker and have been at it for several years. Follow along if you want, but again, nothing is guaranteed.

The Italy line which has been at 215 to start the week and then went as high as 230 is now only 200 though which brings up

I still have a sour taste in my mouth that Italy gave me in the US game when they tied (and looked like a JHS team), so Im going to go against my gut and not touch this. Italy easily has the easiest route to the semi's though of any team -- Aussie then the Switz/Ukraine winner
