Default TPF League V - Official Thread

GENERAL
This is the official summary thread for the TPF League V. Below are the official rules, the schedule, and the confirmed signup list. Any questions you have are probably answered in this post, so please keep reading before posting a question that is answered below (every single time, there are people who do this).

Once the league begins, all Event Results and the Overall Standings will be maintained in the second post in this thread.

____________________________

RULES
1) The league consists of 10 Private tourney events - all events will be on unless otherwise noted. If you don't yet have a Full Tilt account, to set one up, and you will receive 27% of your rake back!
2)The password for every tourney (unless stated otherwise) is: talkingpoker
3) Each event has a $5+$.50 buy in and payouts based on the standard Full Tilt MTT payout schedule.
4) The one time (optional*) League Entry Fee is $20, payable to to TalkingPoker (City=Indialantic) via money transfer. To join the league, transfer $20 to TalkingPoker and then post your screen name in this thread. Once your transfer has been confirmed, you will be added to the participant list below.
5) The participants of each league event will be awarded points based on their finishing place in the event (see points distribution list below).
6) Overall point leaders at the end on the 20 league events will be awarded portions of the prize pool as described below.
7) TP is once again adding $100 to the League Prize Pool. This money will be set aside for a Tournament of Champions for the Top 9** finishers in the league. This will be a $100 NLHE freeroll (time and date to be confirmed). If anyone else would like to match this donation or contribute ANY AMOUNT of money ($5 minimum) to the prize pool, please PM TP and we'll sort it out. Your name and donation amount will be listed here (unless you'd prefer to remain anonymous), and all funds will go towards the T.O.C. freeroll, unless you have a better idea of how you'd like your contribution distributed. If you want your money to go to the first person to get their Aces cracked or the first person to win a showdown with 72o or whatever you like, no problem. We can make it happen.

Additional Money Added* - $113.71 and counting
Purple = Tourney of Champions Prize Pool Donation
Green = Available
Red = Gone

* TalkingPoker - $100 to start off the T.O.C. prizepool
* New Guy - $10 to the first person to win a pot with 72 after the flop (show it to the table and then post it here)
* Invig - Whoever gets knocked out first from the TOF can have my entire Stars BR. (as of today-see spoiler for amount)

*You are welcome to play in any or all events with us without actually being a part of the league, but in order to earn points and be eligible for the added prize money, bounties, and the Tournament of Champions, you need to first pay the $20 League Entry Fee.

**If necessary, ties for the 9th spot of the T.O.C. will be broken as follows:
1) Highest Average Score for events scored in (person to get to total with least scores)
2) Highest Individual Score (if still tied)
3) 2nd Highest Individual Score (if still tied)
4) Next Highest Individual Score (if still tied) and so on...

____________________________

LEAGUE PAYOUTS
$400 Prize Pool + $100 T.O.C.

Based on the overall points total from each's players best 5 finishes:
1st (40%): $160
2nd (30%): $120
3rd (20%): $80
4th (10%): $40
+ the $100 Tournament of Champions Freeroll for the Top 9* finishers!
+ all the bounties and added prize money listed above!

Note: There will be no tie-breakers for the Top 4 league payouts. For example, if the players in 3rd and 4th place have the same total score, the prize money for the two spots will be added up and split evenly between them. If two people tie for 4th, they will split the 4th place money.

MORE
Remember, all Event buyins are $5+$.50, but you don't HAVE to play in them all if you unable to or just don't want to. Only your top 5 point scores will count toward your overall total.

For those of you who have money on Stars and not on Full Tilt or vice versa, no problem. I'm sure there are plenty of people here who would be happy to swap a little bit of cash for you from one site to the other. Just post your request in this section, and I'm sure someone will take care of you.

Lastly, just to make sure everyone understands how this works: If someone enters a given event and is not a paid member of the league, they will still generate points (their entry will add 10 points to that Event's prize pool), but they will NOT receive points for their finish. Instead, those points will be awarded to no one. For example, if a non-league player wins an event, there will be no 1st place points awarded for that event.

In other words, even if you aren't in the league, you are more than welcome to play in one or more of the tourneys with everyone. You simply won't be eligible for the prize money at the end of the League or the Tournament of Champions.

Sure. Ship to Troll Pie on FT, but please PM me when you do, so I know what it's for and make the appropriate transfer for you into the TalkingPoker Stars account.

Because he has a gambling problem. Keep up.

You know I will. I'll bet you 20 league buy ins ($100) right now on the color of the first flop of the first hand of my table in the first league event I play.

But I get to decide if I want to pick the color or if I'm gonna make you pick it. TBD. Will need to do some detailed analysis, obv.

I had a good league last year and I don't want to jinx it. I'll try to do everything the same.

I started by shipping my $20 buy-in to Rogue23 instead of TalkingPoker, just like I F'ed it up last year. (had a good night on PS)

yup, gonna be a good league.

FTP name: I am so poker
