Talking My saturday of poker

yesterday was crazy. I was supposed to be getting drunk with one of my buds. So b4 I left me and my wife ordered pizza. At about the same time the pizza came i got a call about a poker tournament. The usual close knit gruop $20 buy-in. So I look at my wife and she says sure we can go. We get there and clean house. I took 1st she took 2nd. I had all but sealed it when I was dealt AA-QQ-AA-rags-JJ in 5 consecutive hands towards the very end. I dont know but it seems like after taking 3 weeks off in B&M I have improved my play so much.

There's nothing like catching cards, I'm a big time believer in rushes. Sometimes I won't play a hand in an hour and then bam I've got half the chips at the table, repeat a while later and you're on your way to win the damn thing. When you're on the rush 10,8 s and 5,7 suited are my favorite hands. Just the look on peoples faces when your betting or raising every round only to spike the river making a str8,flush or trips is priceless.

ouch, the thing that probably won it for you was nobody believed you could possibly have a run of that many good cards and probably pegged you to bluff and got burned.

Default nah

they folded on all of the hands. I guess i get too much respect from them when i really push. I feel though as if I dont push taht hard i will get outdrawn. I dont know......guess ill stick to getting my chips in the post and taking the blinds when its that late in the tournaments.

I would like to have one of those nights. For the last two weeks I have been getting nothing but rags and when I finally get two pair someone beats me with a higher one. two weeks ago, I finished 3rd and my wife finished 2nd. This past weekend I finished 7th and she finished 1st . Oh well, they were limit tournaments. I can't wait till the next one which will be NL.

Congrats on a nice win! I feel that if I don't play for a while, my play gets a little loose calling!
