Pokerstars World Cup
So, is anyone going to try qualifying for this bad boy? 50 FPP to give it a shot starting April 1. Apparently each country is going to have a team of 5 players. Those five are chosen as follows:
2 from the TLB. The top 2 TLB players for 2005 for your country 2 from the 50 FPP matches 1 nominated by PokerStars The email I got for Canada and the information on their website stated that because there is such a high concentration of Canadian players, Canada will field 3 teams. I'm presuming the US will also field more than one team. |

Just a reminder: USA State qualifiers start today at 2:00pm and Canada qualifiers start tomorrow! 2:00pm for the first Ontario qualifier and 8:00pm Monday for the second. I'll only be playing in the first one as I plan on taking on it down.
So in other words, if you're bored Monday night, feel free to come by and watch me get beat again when my AA gets cracked by Teh Hammer! |

Well I can't make it to the one tomorrow, but I should be there for Monday. Sorry, Mayhem, I think it's going to be me and Rob taking this one down.

Ok.... I hadn't really looked into this very much, but I'm looking at it now:
Am I understanding this right? In order to qualify, all I need to do is win either today or Monday's qualifier, which are HU events? At that point, I'm on the Florida team, and then my TEAM needs to advance until we get from 51 teams down to 16. Then the teams play down to 8, 4, and then finally the two USA teams? Seems easy enough. Don't think I can play today though... maybe Monday. |

That's how I read it too. I'm playing for sure tomorrow in my first qualifier and hopefully won't have to play in the second but I'm not holding my breath.

Florida is too big. 107 people in the qualifier here. Freaking West Virginia only has 17!
(I'm not in, btw - will try to play on Monday night). |

You think florida is big, wait till you see how many ontario draws. Im setting the over/under at 400, and taking the over.

Okay, small stakes I know, but I'll take under for $10 (for ONE event, not both combined)

Fuck it, you're on!
(after seeing that new york only got 122 entries, I think I set my line a smidge too high I'm fully expecting to lose this bet, but crazier things have happened before.)

Got it. Much appreciated.
I set it so high, because it seems I cant sit at a table on stars without seeing at least one Toronto location.
