Books
What poker books do you recommend for lower limit NL players?
I was thinking Sklanksy's - Theory of Poker or Hold'em for Advanced Players... any recommendations? |

Low-limit books
The bible of low-limit seems to be Lee Jones's "Winning Low Limit Hold'Em". (Not sure if this is the exact title, but you can find it off the "books" link on this site's home page).
I have a hard time remembering and following all his advice in the heat of a game, but the closer I stick to it, the closer I seem to do in the long run. MathBabe |

I wouldn't call it the bible of LLH, but I do recommend this book for beginning limit players. It was about the 10th book I ever read, and I kinda wish I had read it a lot sooner.
Windbreaker specifically asked for a NL book though... And I think you can't go wrong with Sklansky in that department. If you are ready for it, the Advanced book is a great choice: I also enjoyed T.J.'s book a lot for it's NL advice (more the the previously mentioned books), but it's not specifically talking about low limits. I have yet to read this one (it's on the way), so I don't know how much it talks about NL, but I've heard great things about this book: |
