Speaking of Rakeback...
Hopefully this will be a little bit of inspiration for anyone reading this and NOT earning rakeback.
Last month, I played exclusively HU SNGs at Full Tilt for the entire month. I had one SICK downswing where I dropped over $6k (30ish buy ins) that really killed my numbers for the month. This coincided with me experimenting with turbos instead of regular ones for three days, so either I suck at turbos or was just running horribly. I'm guessing it was a combo of both, but I switched back to the non-turbos and started grinding my way back up anyway.
All in all, I ended up slightly down for the month, a couple hundred or so. That's less than turning just ONE loss into a win out of the 450ish SNGs I played for the month, so it's basically even.
But I got $1300 in rakeback (not to mention all the Full Tilt points and Iron Man medals that will be buying me a 50" plasma tv one of these days), turning my pretty crappy month into a winner.
So to anyone reading this who isn't getting rakeback, my God people, you are costing yourself a fortune at the end of the year! Even playing low stakes cash games, the rake can really add up and boost your bankroll relative to the levels you are playing. It's all about volume. So get going!
