Default interesting streak

i wasnt sure where to post this - and i have never posted an original thread under 'bad beats' before - but i currently have a 12 hand losing streak going with coinflip hands ( coinflip hands being pocket pair vs overcards). This is counting me being on both sides of them. The streak could actually be longer - but that is when i started keeping track.

Needless to say this is all part of the worst run of my life.

On a side note - AK is 0-3 in that mess all-in preflop.

Default make that 0-13

this 13th on was special because i managed to get all-in preflop in a LIMIT tourney with a pocket pair and lost to overcards. I am quite proud of that because i was afraid that in a limit tourney it might have been hard to add to my preflop streak - but dont ever count me short in terms of finding a way to lose.

Two more to reach my goal of 0-15. After that - its all gravy.

This is all tourney play, btw - no cash games counted.

and counting - this was JQs vs 10s. I have decided that i have set my sights way too low at 0-15 - i am going to go for 0-20.

That is an impressive streak. I'll give you that.

To anyone who thinks it isn't, literally go start flipping a coin. Decide FIRST if you are going for heads or tails, and then see if you can be wrong 14 times in a row.

I just ran the approximate (using 50%) odds of pulling this off, and its: .006103515625%. That's better than 16,000:1!!!

Are you 100% certain you've been counting right, bdawg? Like every single one? Because if so, that is very, very, very impressive. If you could manage to lose 6 more in a row, the odds for the entire streak (not just the 6, but all 20) would be more than a million to 1 against it.

Default i am 95% sure

I count anytime either i or opponent is all-in preflop and one of us has a pair and the other has over-cards. The first six of this streak are the ones i might be having selective memory on - but i am 95% sure on those. 7 and on i know 100%. Its almost like a game for me now - it is almost keeping me from going totally poker-insane - i am only half-way there at the moment.

Keep in mind - i dont count the hands that are like A2 vs KQ; AA vs JJ (which i also have lost quite a few - but i dont have those numbers). I am tracking the pure coin flip hands.

And, yeah - i am the WCOOP guy - unfortunately, the last 2-3 months have been a nightmare - i am by no means the man at the moment.

Default its all good

I post it to help me laugh at it - if i can hit 50 - that would be like hitting the lottery. Keep track of your streak - its FUN! Remember - the rule is that either you or your one opponent have to be all-in preflop - and it has to be a pocket pair vs overcards. It has to be one - for example, i recently lost all-in with two where i had JJ vs AQ and 44 - the 4s naturally won the hand, but i didnt count that to my streak.

Once i actually win one of these coinflip hands - i am going to track my 'win' streak too. I predict it will reach two. That is a bit optimistic, but i am a dreamer, and the world needs dreamers.

That hardly counts. The guy was down to 350 chips! But, a coin flip is a coin flip.

Technically though, YOUR all in coinflip streak (when your tourney life is on the line) is still alive and well.

Default i counted them all

I counted each 'coinflip' hand when either me or my opponent was all-in - didnt matter the chip count or if it would elminate me.

If i counted just when i was all-in with my tourney life on the line - that streak would still be alive - but i have no idea what that is at.
